Lunan Bay Farm (formerly Myreside Farms Produce) are producers of sustainable ingredients, grown on our beachside farm in Scotland, for chefs and food lovers alike.

Our Produce

Founded by farmer Neil McEwan, Lunan Bay Farm ethically produces free range goat meat, grows asparagus and have other niche products with provenance in the pipeline. Our farm is based at picturesque Lunan Bay, where three miles of unspoilt beaches meet the surrounding lush countryside. Our area of Angus known for its fertile land and its favourable climate.

Our Ethos

Farming has been in Neil’s family for five generations and in 2016 he diversified adopting a sustainable approach to responsible guardianship of the land. Along with his wife, Jillian McEwan, our purpose is to ethically produce food that works in harmony with our environment, working alongside the best chefs to showcase our produce. For us, integrity is key therefore we take a hands-on approach at every step from field to fork.

Our Goat Meat

Neil introduced goats on the farm, specifically the South African Boer Goat and the Scottish Cashmere Goat breeds, for meat and fibre production and their environmental benefits. Selecting the best genetics and providing our goats with the highest welfare ensures quality end-products. Our focus is to continue to produce Scottish goat meat of the highest provenance for our customers, and further promote the ethical production of this sustainable meat.

Our Asparagus

In 2017, we started to grow the “king of vegetables’; asparagus. Our light, well-draining soils and unique microclimate are perfect for growing asparagus. Our area benefits from having the most sunlight and some of the longest days in Scotland. The utmost care and attention is required for both growing and harvesting this notorious difficult to grow vegetable which we provide in spades.
