Regeneration

Our purpose is to ethically produce food that works in harmony with our environment hence why we introduced goats to our farm.

We made the decision that we wanted to bring livestock back to the farm and chose goats because they offer a number of benefits. They have a lower carbon footprint than many other livestock, their meat has a higher nutritional value and they help recycle trace minerals back to the surface soil by selecting deep rooted plants.

We are carrying our soil analysis to understand their impact that our goats have on our soil and pasture health. To improve our output further we are planting other wild grasses such as Lucerne which has grown remarkably well! Lucerne is valuable for the goats as it acts as a super food – we bale and dry it then feed to the goats just before kidding.
