Description

Dive into the artistry of Scottish wool with this stunning Octopus Hat and Fingerless Mitts Set, handmade by Lisa MacLean (Lisa 2 Hats Studio) at her small farm in Kirkbuddo, Angus.

Each piece has been hand-spun, dyed, and knitted by Lisa herself, using fibre from her own lovingly reared flock of Teeswaters, Icelandics, and Horned Dorsets, all chosen for their unique texture and natural beauty.

The deep oceanic blue and purple tones of this set echo the colours of the Angus coastline, while the subtle octopus motif on the hat nods to our shared maritime heritage at Lunan Bay.

🤝 Meet the Producer

From her smallholding near Letham in Angus, Lisa MacLean, known as Lisa 2 Hats creates beautiful, one-off textiles that celebrate Scotland’s wool heritage.
Working alongside her husband Stuart, she raises Teeswaters, Icelandics, and Horned Dorsets, breeds prized for their luxurious and varied fleeces.

A self-taught spinner, dyer, and knitter, Lisa takes each creation from sheep to garment, ensuring complete traceability and a deep connection to her materials.
Her designs reflect the natural beauty of rural Angus, blending creativity, sustainability, and local provenance into every stitch.
