Description

Discover one of the most special yarns ever produced at Lunan Bay Farm, a luxurious handspun blend of 20% Lunan Bay Scottish Cashmere with 80% Scottish Merino, grown just across the River Tay at the regenerative, organic Balmerino farm in Fife.

Every skein is carefully handspun in Scotland, celebrating the softness of cashmere with the bounce, warmth, and durability of fine Merino.

This is our softest yarn to date, a truly limited micro-batch created from the 2025 fibre season.

Natural & Undyed
The beautiful cream tones come directly from the fleece, with no processing dyes. This yarn is ideal for knitters who love natural fibres, artisanal provenance, and supporting regenerative farming in Scotland.

Perfect for:
• Hats, mitts, shawls, cowls
• Fine cables + textured stitches
• Next-to-skin projects
• Gifts for serious knitters and makers

Why this yarn is so special:
• Scottish cashmere is incredibly rare, we are the UK’s only producers
• Blended with Scottish Merino from a regenerative organic flock
• Handspun in small batches for exceptional softness and character
• Fibre from two farms known for high welfare & regenerative methods
• Only available in limited quantities — once sold out, it cannot be repeated exactly

Celebrate Scotland’s fibre heritage with a yarn that connects two pioneering regenerative farms and brings you comfort, softness, and timeless craftsmanship.
