Lunan Bay Cashmere & Scottish Merino Spinning Batt
Create something truly special with our Lunan Bay Cashmere & Merino Spinning Batt, a luxurious fibre blend prepared especially for hand spinners.
Each 50g batt contains 20% Lunan Bay cashmere and 80% merino fibre, carefully blended and carded to create a soft, lofty fibre ready to spin.
Cashmere brings exceptional softness, warmth and luxury to the blend, while merino adds elasticity, body and ease of spinning. Together they produce a beautifully balanced fibre suitable for creating fine, soft yarn for special knitting, weaving or textile projects.
From fibre to yarn
These batts allow spinners to experience our cashmere one stage before the finished yarn.
The fibres have been blended and carded, leaving you the freedom to choose how you spin the finished yarn — from a soft, lofty woollen-style yarn to something finer and more tightly spun.
Because each batt is prepared in small batches using natural fibres, there may be slight variations between individual batts. This is part of the character of working with genuine farm-grown fibre.

Cashmere is exceptionally soft, light and warm, but adding merino gives the fibre more structure, elasticity and resilience.
The resulting 20% cashmere / 80% merino blend retains the luxurious handle of cashmere while making it versatile and enjoyable to spin.
It is an ideal blend for anyone wanting to experiment with cashmere without spinning pure cashmere fibre.

We accept returns and exchanges on eligible items within 30 days of delivery.
- Items must be returned unused, in original condition and packaging
- Buyers are responsible for return postage costs
- If items are returned damaged or not in original condition, the buyer may be responsible for any loss in value

Refunds are only offered if the event is cancelled, rescheduled or moved by the organiser.
We cannot offer refunds if:
- You change your mind
- You are no longer able to attend
Refunds are only available if requested more than 5 weeks before your booked farm tour date.
We may be able to offer an alternative date depending on availability — please contact us as early as possible if your plans change.
